The Register of Merit, or ROM as it is called, is the most
prestigious award a dog can earn.
The Register of Merit is granted to a
dog -- male or female --whose offspring have earned at least 5 different titles
from a Registry.
In the UKC, the United Labrador Retriever Association
(ULRA) grants the ROM for sires and dams whose offspring have earned at least 5
different titles granted by UKC.
They also grant a ROM-Excellent for 10 titles earned by offspring.
These titles can include field, obedience and/or show titles or a combination of titles from each or all areas. Multiple titles from one dog count as per the number of titles earned by that dog. Examples of qualifying titles are: SHR, HR, Show Champion, Grand Show Champion, etc.
By recognizing the accomplishments of a group of offspring, ULRA's Register of Merit acknowledges that these sires and dams are making a superior contribution to the breed.
In our kennel, we are immensely proud to have the FIRST and SECOND dams to be recognized as ROM's by ULRA: AND the FIRST Register of Merit Excellent dam. We also bred the THIRD ROM dam, Tango.
We are also immensely proud to have THREE MALES recognized as ROM sires by ULRA. And we are super proud to announce the FIRST and SECOND ROM EXCELLENT sires, Martin and St John.
We are also thrilled to have 'generations' of Register of Merit producers.

** BIss amch chelon's mac the knight, cd jh wc cgc tdi, rom was the first
register of merit sire to be recognized by ulra. all of his titled
offspring are owned by club members. mac died in 2002. his rom was
awarded posthumously to owners jim and julie reeves of oskaloosa, iowa.
