                          Cannonridge Jackdaw

This is Cannonridge Jackdaw, sire of our foundation girls, Lyndhurst Jasmine and Lyndhurst Jessica.  Jackdaw is himself the son of one of the most influential Labrador sires in breed history, Master Mariner.  We are delighted to have had the honor to share our years with two of his wonderful daughters.  Jackdaw has left his mark on our line in very distinct ways -- the beautiful coats we get, and that marvelous questioning expression seen in so many of our dogs.  We also value his masculinity without coarseness, and his kind expression.  Thanks to the Hancocks for making him available and to Ivy Hurst for choosing the perfect sire for our girls.  We think our Hawkeye , a Jackdaw grandson, is nearly a carbon copy of Jackdaw.

Jasmine's and Jessica's mother, Lyndhurst Webster's Song, "Merry" is pictured below:

"Merry" was a daughter of Hawksmoor Webster, pictured below, another of the very influential British Labrador sires.

Webster was exported from America to Britain.  He was bred by Kate Perry, Hawksmoor Labradors.
Kate was instrumental in our acquiring Jessica and Jasmine from Ivy Hurst.  We are eternally grateful to Kate for her assistance.
"Merry's" litter sister, Lyndhurst Webster's Choice, known as "Ivy", went to live with Kate at Hawksmoor
where she became the mother of  American Champion Hawksmoor Thunder Cloud.
We think that our Jasmine and our Jeannie look very much like Merry.
Merry and Ivy's mother "Sky" --  Lyndhurst Flamboise Sea Mist -- is pictured below:
Sky is the maternal grandmother to our Jessica and our Jasmine.
We think that Jessica, Irene, and Ella look very much like Sky.

In our first Ynda litter, we bred Jessica to BISS CH Blackdux Knight Moves, JH, known as Cain, pictured below:

In our second, third and fourth litters, we bred Jasmine and June to Cain's sire,
BISS CH Chelon's Mac The Knight, CD JH WC CGC ROM.

The 2 color photos of Mac were taken when he was an old veteran.
The left most black & white is Mac winning BISS at Denver LRC Specialty.
The right black & white is Mac as a young male.
"Mac" has proven to be a very prepotent sire, producing not only his lovely coat,
but consistently throwing his breed-type, substance, fluid movement,
love of swimming & retrieving, and his sweet temperament.
We will always be grateful to Jim and Julie Reeves for making him available to us for these 4 litters.
What a grand, marvelous labrador Mac was. Thru our breedings, Mac was awarded his Register of Merit (ROM).
We are proud to be 'the holders' of so much of Mac's heritage:
Our Mac sons are: Martin, Hawkeye, DJango.
Our Mac daughters are: Tango, Anna.
Our Mac granddaughters are: June, Jeannie, Ella, Maggie, Melody.
Our Mac grandsons are: Nate, Cooper, Ian.
Our Mac great-grandpups are: St John, Imp.

We bred our Cain daughter, June, back to Mac and got our beloved "Martin."   That's how we created a nice
line breeding to BISS CH Monarch's Black Arrogance, "Gunner."  He is pictured below:

June was also bred to CH Colton's Calvin Black "Calvin" to produce St John and Imp.
