IN MEMORY OF:    OUR RIDGEBACKS OF THE PAST
  we miss them every day

              SIENNA'S FIRE AND RAIN  "SUZAN"

Suzan was named after the girl in James Taylor's Fire and Rain song AND Marti's dear friend, Suzan Dziurawiec, PhD.  Our darling Suzie had 12 points -- all owner-handled, her 1st major here.  Marti 'blew' a Winners Class at Middleburg and only took RWB which would have finished Suzan.  Sadly, Suzie experienced torsion/bloat and was gone from us in the blink of an eye.  She was only 30 months old.  Every time we see MoonBeam fly across the bridge over the pond, we think of Suzan who delighted in jumping clear across the bridge, never touching a pad on the boards, a leap of about 15 feet.  What an athlete she was. The most gorgeous moving dog either of us has ever known.   We are sure that Suzan went to chase butterflies endlessly in the big meadows at the Rainbow Bridge, because her great delight in life was chasing them here.  We still cry when we talk of her.  In James Taylors song, Suzan was a girl who died -- how prophetic that proved to be.  We are so grateful for every day she spent with us, and thank Deb Hopper Danford of Sienna for sharing our darling Suzan with us.
