Jasmine's special 'things' -- she loved to dunk her head in the
outside water bucket and blow bubbles in the water. She immersed herself
in that bucket, submarined herself in that bucket. To the day she died,
Jasmine enjoyed her bucket dunks... Jasmine loved toys, even as a old old
dog, she still alerted those ears, got that 'stance' and asked for a toy to be
thrown. She picked up her ball toy and her squeaky and carried them all
her days... And the Miss Piggy voice. Jasmine would comfort her pups and
ME with a soft and gentle voice that sounded like a piggy. So we called
her Miss Piggy voice. The day before she died when we were at her
acupuncture session, I cuddled her on the floor on her bed, rubbed her head and
we exchanged Piggies, such a dear dear girl. Her daughters Jeannie and
Ella use the Piggy voice, and Ella comforted her puppies with Miss Piggies.
There is a huge hole here at Ynda with Jazzy gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Thank
you, thank you, thank you Dr. Brianna Idleman for Jasmine's loving care with
acupuncture which gave her such great quality of life as she bravely dealt with
arthritis in those stifles, a result from her early ACL tears and surgeries.
Jazzy died peacefully during her afternoon nap. She went to sleep and just
didn't wake up. Her last morning she dunked her head in her bucket, came
gaily when called in from her morning walkabout-wagging her tail, head held high
AND she took her 'yeah' biscuit [one of Andy's patented home-made gingersnap
cookies] with great relish, enjoying her breakfast with her very special canned
dog food on top of kibble.

Our Faves -- Jasmine left by herself, and in the right photo, Jasmine is seated
alongside her daughter Tango at right --
thank you Jim Scott of Brick, NJ and Twinholly Labradors for these 2 wonderful
pictures .... Jim's pics were so great of
Jasmine that we brought her home and mated her to Martin, producing the
memorable litter of Ella, Jeannie, Dreamer, & Ian.

Jasmine, age
15 months, won 12-18 class at National Specialty, under Connie Howard
Jasmine's Story: A foundation girl is so
critical to a breeding program. We were so very blessed to have Jasmine as
ours.
Lyndhurst Jasmine, an
import from Ivy Hurst's Lyndhurst labradors in Bradford, England, won the 12 -
18 month Bitch class under Connie Howard at the LRC Inc National Specialty. She
also won 3rd place in the LRC Boston 9-12 puppy class. She is a classic English
bitch, 21 " tall, BB, a great land and water retriever. She has taken Reserves
under Carl Liepman and Connie Howard, but her show career was cut short due to
surgeries for torn cruciate ligaments. She has been shown sparingly
in UKC, garnering several Best Female awards and a BOB and Group III, at the age
of almost 6.5 years ! News Flash: Jasmine finishes her Show
Championship Title in May of 2004, just shy of her 8th birthday. That is
aging well. Congratulations Jasmine!
Jazzy is a perpetual puppy, quite
keen to play, an avid water and land retriever, she excels in obedience.
Jazzy is a sweetheart, very gentle, loving and devoted to her people. She has
been a regular visitor to SW Mental Hospital in Marion, VA and now she
visits a group home for adults in Dublin, VA.
Jasmine has been a wonderful
producer, and she has left her mark on our dogs with her gorgeous front
carried down thru Hawkeye, Nate and Tango, and dare I say it ? the
'elegant' neck of hers shared with daughters, Tango, Ella and Jeannie.
She gives us that sparkle in the eye, the mischievous smartness, a joy
in retrieving, of swimming, the innate ability to love obedience work,
the devotion to people. We love you, Jazzy girl.
JASMINE WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL MOTHER, SHE FOSTERED 3 PUPS, 2 OF
WHOM WERE SIBERIANS, WHEN SHE HAD HER 2ND LITTER,
A SINGLETON BLACK MALE, COLBY. Jasmine raised Martin, born the same day as
Colby, and then adopted 2 Siberian girls whose dam had died after a C section.
JASMINE IS TRULY A DEAR AND CHERISHED FRIEND, MY SISTER-DOG, AND
WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO SHARE OUR LIVES WITH HER. WE LOVE YOU JAZZY BO-BO,
JAZZY MUNDO, JAZZY GIRL.
