Irene is June's litter sister. What an absolutely beautiful girl ! Irene loved to show, and we had high hopes for her AKC show career. Tragically, Irene developed pyometria 3 weeks after being mated. We rushed her to the theriogenologist at Va Tech, and they were able to save her life. They were not able to save her reproductive capability, and so her stunning beauty will not be passed to future generations. When we were finally able almost 2 years later to consider letting Irene have her own family and not just share us with all the other dogs, Gene and Mary LoConte were ready to add a dog to their 1 labrador family. Irene's constant companion is Neil, and we thank Mary Kate and Gene from the bottom of our hearts for loving Irene and making her so happy. 'No One Can Work A Room Like Irene.'
